The Wave Garden is a surf initiation program in Hourtin specially designed for children aged 3 to 7 years old.

Young children are not mixed with older groups. They benefit from adapted supervision, a progressive teaching approach, and specific equipment (smaller, lighter foam boards) to ensure a safe and positive first surfing experience.

🕒 Lesson Schedule (1 hour)

​

• Please arrive 15 minutes before for equipment.

• Departure from the surf school is at the exact lesson time (e.g., 11:00 AM).

• Return around 12:00 / 12:10 PM.

​

The session includes a short beach explanation and approximately 40 minutes in the water, in shallow areas where children can stand (knee to waist depth maximum).
Constant supervision in a highly secure environment.

🌊 Booking

Lessons are scheduled according to tides and weather conditions to guarantee maximum safety.

👉 Please book approximately 1 week in advance, even during high season.

Knowing how to swim is a plus.

Please inform us if your child has never been in the ocean before, as waves can sometimes feel intimidating at first.
