The 3-day course allows you to familiarize yourself with the marine environment while discovering new surfing sensations. This package includes 3 surf lessons of 2 hours given at Hourtin Plage in small groups of maximum 8 students per surf instructor.

The surf school in Hourtin | Twins Surf School, provides the surfboard and wetsuit, as well as liability insurance for all students. We also offer changing rooms for your comfort and secure storage facilities for your personal belongings during your surf lessons or courses in Hourtin.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF THE 3-DAY SURF COURSE

Technique:

  • Get up quickly when taking off

  • Maintain your balance standing to the edge after the take off

  • Ensure your take off

  • Pass the white water waves without letting go of the board

Security :

  • Paddle out while controlling your board

  • Respect the safety instructions specific to take off

  • Stay at the landmark (monitor, flag, etc.).

Autonomy in water:

  • Catch waves while bodysurfing

  • Get past the break by swimming

  • Return to shore by riding a wave

Marine Sense and Environment:

  • Select the right waves

  • Paddle out by navigating around the breaking zone
